Seven kids between us, and a living room that has tested more toys than probably anyone.
Our story
It started with a phone call. Mandy rang Mel and said, "We should be sharing our toys." We had such good ones, and parents kept asking what to buy. So we dove in and went hard.
It's a full-time business now, and it's still the best part of our day: helping parents find toys their kids will actually play with. Between us we have seven kids, every age and every kind of interest, so nothing lands on this site until it has survived a real living room. We've tried more toys than probably anyone. We only tell you about the ones that stuck around.
Meet Mandy
Mandy is a mom of three (Charlie, Caroline, and Clementine) and the marketing brain behind Toy Testing Sisters. She spent eight years in robotics marketing before trading the corporate world for a stay-at-home-mom life and a consulting practice helping small businesses get noticed. Then came the phone call to Mel. When she's not testing toys, you'll find her at a USU Aggie game, at Lagoon or Cherry Hill with the kids, out exploring Utah, or on the bunny hill learning to ski. She has never met a shopping trip she didn't like.
Meet Mel
Mel is a mom of four (Olina, Luella, Cal, and Goldie) and the official "fun mom" of the operation. She's a trained ballerina who danced professionally for the Utah Jazz, then spent four years as head drill coach at Lone Peak High School. Before Toy Testing Sisters she ran social media for a nonprofit and a real estate agency, which is why the feed looks the way it does. She's the creative one, dabbles in interior design, loves a Utah adventure, and never passes up dinner with the girls.
